I'm Back

I can't believe it's been a year since I last posted, it has been a hectic year but i've missed out on blogging about some important events in Kpop (to me).

First I have to start with Jessica leaving my favourite group of all time Girls Generation.

I still can't believe it but I'm happy to see that she has moved on and enjoying herself, I'm so happy to see her doing one of her passions. I knew she'd have something to do with fashion, she has always been the most fashionable member.

Next, sticking with Girls Generation. Several members have recently split up with their boyfriends

Taeyeon and Baekhyun split up in September 2015 after 15months together, after the amount of hate Taeyeon got for being with him I'm not surrpised but I was hoping it would work.

Yoona and Lee Seung gi split in August 2015, they were dating for 1 year and 9 months but their schedules were too busy. Another couple I was rooting for.

Tiffany and Nichkhun confirmed to have split back in May 2015, the reason behind the split was personal and we can all respect that.

Yuri is the latest member split from tennis player Oh Seung Hwan, they were confirmed to have parted ways Today.

I do hope every member finds love and their happy ending, each member and former member Jessica all deserve to find Happiness.

Next up is Tao from EXO,

On 24th August 2015 Tao officially submitted his lawsuit against SM Entertainment, and the company has responded by blocking his solo material from going onto Youtube. Tao still has a contract with SM but Tao is trying to pursue a solo career in China.

And Finally, wet stages are hazardous (obviously)

Two Girl Group's had accidents on stage this Year, Yuju from Gfriend suffered a nasty fall on September 5th while performing at an Event in Gangwon Province. Fans were seriously outraged because the fall looked like it could have been serious, thankfully the Idol posted to that fans shouldn't worry and she was okay.

Soyu from Sistar had a close call during a performance of 'Shake it' on 20th September, that really could have ended badly because she almost went head first. Soyu and Hyorin were slipping constantly throughout the perfomance and when leaving the stage. The conditions are not good for Idol's when they cannot even stand up during a performance.

I'm sorry it's been so long since last posted, I do plan to keep posting more often than what I have been. Thanks for stopping!!

Ladies Code - RIP EunB & Rise

I've Recently found out that two members of one of my favourite girl groups has recently passed away, Rise and EunB of Ladies Code tragically lost their lives after being involved in a car accident on September 3rd 2014. EunB Passed away on September 3rd after the time of accident, by the time the paramedics made it to the scene EunB was already in Cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead on arrival at Sungbin medical center. Rise sadly succumbed to her injuries on September 7th at 10.10am at Aju University Hospital after she never woke up from Her coma. I found this tragic news last night and at first I didn't believe it, and even now I still don't wanna believe it, and I just hope Sojung recovers soon and the group continues to be an asset to the music industry.

Rest In Peace, you were both amazingly talented and so beautiful

Girls Generation - Music videos

As part of the continuing theme, here is the third and final post about Korean's biggest girl group Girl's Generation aka SNSD, and this post is all about their music video's. Not only are their music video's are in Korean, but Japanese and one in English. Let's start with their first music video, Into the new world.

Into the new world was released August 2nd 2007, and peaked at number 5.

The next video is Kissing you, which was released January 13th 2008 and also reached number 5.

Here is their biggest music video to date, Gee which was released January 5th 2009, and was the groups first number 1 hit. The song was also released in Japan, and managed to reach #2.

Here is both the Korean and Japanese music video for the group's hit sing Oh!, the Japanese version is part of a double sided single along with the song All my love is for you.

Here is the Korean and Japanese versions of the single Run Devil Run, this was realised as a double sided single with Mr. Taxi in Japan.

Here is the music video for  their single Paparazzi, the song managed to get to number in both Korea and Japan.

Here is the single for sub-unit's single Twinkle, this song has received a lot praise and managed to get plenty of awards.

Here's is Girls Generation's comeback single called the boys, which was not recorded in Japanese but marked the first time th song was recorded in English and brought the group to the rest of the worlds attention.

Taeyeon

Taeyeon is the lead singer of Korean girl group Girls Generation (see previous post), I gotta admit that she is part of the reason I love Girls Generation so much. Taeyeon is an amzing singer and dancer, she debuted as the leader of Girls generation in 2004 and she achieved the lifetime achievement award at her high school graduation in 2008.

Taeyeon is the oldest member of Girls Generation, during interviews she is very hilarious and she tends to make a fool of herself. My favourite song is The Boys, and Taeyeon looks and sounds amazing in that video. She is also a member of the sub unit Girls Generation TTs along with Tiffany and Seohyun.

Girls Generation

Girls Generation is one of Korea's biggest girl group and they debuted in 2007, and they have even managed to crack Japan as well as releasing a song across europe. They are a group made up of 9 members, Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun, Jessica, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Sooyoung, Yoona and Yuri.

Their Biggest selling single to date is Gee, the song spent 9 weeks at the top of Gaon chart, and the song has sold 4,894,567 downloads. The song set the record for longest chart topping song, and it was the most viewed K-Pop video with 84.5million views.

There is also a sub-unit to girls generation consisting of Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun and the released their first single Twinkle in 2012. The sub-unit will feature all members of Girl Generation, and they will be switching members with the release of a new album and the change in concept of each album.

They recorded their first full english song in 2011 called The boys and the song has received mostly positive feedback, mostly praising their improved choreography. I hope that they release more english videos, but I'm just as happy listening to the Korean songs.
