This is a japanes anime called pretty cure and from the very series premiering in 2004 there has been 8 spin offs with the 8th series premiering in 2012. Pretty cure is a magical anime about girls who fight the forces of darkness using magical powers, and each of the season succeeding the first adds a new aspect to the franchis. There has also been 12 movies for the franchises, and some that mix all the characters from the entire franchise in one movie including the characters from the series that is starting in the same year as the movie is released.
